Sligo to host IAEM Annual Scientific Meeting 2019

The Irish Association for Emergency Medicine is holding its Annual Scientific Meeting and AGM in Sligo on 7-8 November 2019.

The theme of the conference is ‘The Circle of Life’ – Emergency Medicine from birth and neonatal emergencies to End of Life care.

The venue for IAEM2019 is the Clayton Hotel Sligo, Clarion Road, Ballytivnan, Sligo, F91 N8EF.

EM Team win inaugural World Sepsis Day SIM event at Sligo University Hospital

In order to mark World Sepsis Day on September 13th, 4 teams of hospital clinicians battled it out on a Simulated Sepsis scenario.

The represented teams were:

  • Obstetrics & Gynaecologyobsgyn-team
  • Internal Medicinemedical-team
  • General Surgerysurgical-team
  • Emergency Medicineem-team-in-action

There was a panel of esteemed clinicians from other specialties to judge the event.judges judges-confer
